OASIS scholarship applications for the 2022-23 session opened on 10th May 2022.
OASIS scholarship applications for the 2022-23 session will close on 31st October 2022.

Oasis Scholarship – Eligibility

When applying for any of the Oasis scholarships, what are the eligibility requirements? Students look everywhere for the answer to this obvious question. Students who wish to receive these scholarships need to be permanent residents of the state or hold its domicile as one of the major eligibility requirements. In addition to this, there are several other criteria that students must meet.

Eligibility Criteria for Oasis Scholarship

  • SC students in 9th and 10th grades should be in class 9 and 10.
  • From all sources, the family/guardian’s income should not exceed INR 2 lakh per year.
2. Pre-matric scholarship for ST students
  • ST students must be members of the ST category.
  • The program is open to students in the 9th and 10th grades.
  • Regardless of the source of income, the annual income of the family or guardian cannot exceed INR 2 lakh.
3. Post-matric scholarship for SC/ST students
  • In order to qualify, the applicant should be studying at the post-secondary or post-matriculation level and belong to the SC/ST group.
  • Parents/guardians should not earn more than INR 2.5 lakh from all sources per year.
4. Post-matric scholarship for OBC students
  • A post-secondary student must belong to the OBC category and be studying at the post-secondary level.
  • A family or guardian’s annual income should not exceed INR 1 lakh from all sources.

All the above scholarships are only available to West Bengal residents.

Oasis Scholarship Rewards

Depending on the class in which students are enrolled, Oasis scholarships offer varying rewards for students. The selection process is heavily influenced by their academic merit and financial need. Students receive varying amounts of scholarships depending on their class. The Oasis scholarship offers a detailed structure of scholarship rewards to applicants.

Step 1: Application Process for ST and OBC Students

Registering with the Oasis scholarship

The official website can be found here.
In the students’ corner, click “Student registration”.

The district of the institution should be selected.
You will be taken to a page where you can verify your caste certificate. Click on “Submit” after filling out all the details.
The online registration page will be opened once the caste certificate has been verified. The mandatory fields must be filled in and the submit button must be clicked.

Step 2: Log in to Oasis to complete the application

The “Download login information/acknowledgment slip” button can be accessed once candidates have successfully registered.
After entering the application number/user id and password, click on the “Login Now” button.
After logging in, they need to fill in their further details and bank information carefully before clicking the ‘Save and Proceed’ button.

Step 3: Oasis application verification and lock

To lock all the information filled in, candidates can click on the “Verify and Lock” button after filling out the application form.

The candidate cannot make any further changes to the information once it has been locked. Fill out the application form with the correct information.

Step 4: Get your application printed

When the application form has been successfully locked, click on the “Download Application Form” button to get a computer-generated copy.

Step 5: Submitting the printed application

Printed copies of the completed application form must be submitted to the local BDO (Block Development Officer) or PO cum DWO (Municipal Corporation) along with all supporting documents.

The documents to be submitted are –

  • A recent photograph the size of a stamp
  • Caste certificate/acknowledgment slip attested by an official
  • Copies of mark sheets and certificates from the last examination passed, attested

Oasis Application Process for SC Students

Schedule Caste (SC) students cannot access the OASIS scholarship portal until they complete this additional step.

Registering on National Scholarship Portal

  • The official website can be accessed here.
  • Then click on ‘New Registration’.
  • To receive a unique ID, you must register for the SC Scholarship Scheme during or after matriculation.
  • Ensure you have read the registration guidelines, checked the boxes, and clicked ‘Continue’ to proceed.
  • Simply fill out the registration form and click ‘Register’.

Oasis Scholarship Renewal Process

The candidates who have already won scholarships through the Oasis scholarship portal need to renew them each year. There is a slight difference in the application process for renewals. Below you will find a step-by-step description of the renewal process –

Step 1: Access your Oasis scholarship account.

  • You can visit the official website.
  • Located in the student’s corner, click on “Renew Scholarship.”.
  • Log in with your registered user id/application number and password.
  • Make any necessary changes to the previously entered details.

Step 2: Renew the application

  • Candidates can click on the “Renew Application” button after verifying their existing information.
  • Please provide information about your current academic education.
  • To renew and lock your application, click the “Renew and Lock” button.
  • The candidates cannot make any changes to their respective renewal applications once they have locked them. Each field should be filled out correctly, so they should be careful.

Step 3: Submit the printed application

Applicants can download the application form after locking their renewal application, then submit it along with all supporting documents to the relevant Block Development Office (BDO) or PO cum DWO for the municipal corporation.

The documents to be submitted are –

  • A recent stamp-sized photo
  • Copy of caste certificate/acknowledgment slip with attestation
  • A copy of the mark sheet and certificate of the last examination passed, attested

Oasis scholarship Application status check online

All users of the Oasis scholarship portal can also track the status of their current applications. Students can track their application status online through their portal, regardless of whether they have applied for pre-matric or post-matric scholarships. You can track the status of your application by following the steps below –

  • Visit the official website.
  • To track an application, click “Track an application”.
  • Choose the district where the current institution is located.
  • For tracking an application, enter details such as the serial number/user ID, the applied district, and the session.
